It would seem all KEY² and KEY² LE variants got their last update in December.

It doesn't seem likely that there are going to be any further updates, or perhaps those phones will only get quarterly updates until updates end for sure in July. But given the announcements from BBMo and BB Ltd., I think they've packed it in already.

BlackBerry KEY2 & KEY2 L E devices sold before August, 2020 should be entitled to software updates for 2 years from their purchase date. That is the way I understand the policy.

Its not from the purchase date. Its from release date.

No technology products from any company work that way. The way it actually works is that support for any major model starts the day the first example of that model is sold on the market - even if it only has a limited regional release initially. And any sub-model variants are still tied to that original date, so even if a new color or a higher-storage or higher-RAM model is released much later, it is still tied to the release date of the original device of the base model.

The Key 2 family was released in June of 2018, and support will likely end in May of 2020. The Key2LE was released in October 2018 and it's been announced that support will end in August of 2020.

"Entitled". That's funny. You'll do just fine here.
