Hi,

I got my hands on a second hand Curve 8320 for T-Mobile. First of all, I know I need to unlock it as I intend to use it elsewhere. Second, the GPS is completely disabled.

The OS is 4.5.0.81 so nice and current. I read somewhere that I may need to "unbrand" the phone. Is that the best way to get it working?

I am guessing unlocking and unbranding are two different things. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

To unlock the phone try a service like Horizon Wireless or
gsmphonesource

The 8320 does not have an internal GPS receiver. You will need
to purchase an external receiver such as the Freedom Keychain
