SD Card Help/Backup Question
I apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but I spent over an hour hunting the forums for an answer to no avail. I have 2 questions that I need assistance with & appreciate any help fellow Crackheads can give.
I had to do a warranty exchange on my Torch yesterday because the speaker was going out. The tech took out my 16g mini sd card, popped it in the new phone & only 140 of my over 800 songs appeared. I mentioned it to him before walking out the door & he said that it can take up to 20 minutes for all songs to read. Satisfied, I left, but the rest of the songs never appeared. I saw them all on the card, even took it out & put it in my laptop-all songs there. I could not find any settings that I needed to change to fix it. Unfortunately, here is what I ended up doing.
While the sd card was in my laptop, I created a new folder & put everything from my sd card in it. Well, stupid me didn't drag that folder to my desktop so when I formatted the sd card, I lost EVERYTHING ON IT. I wanted to punch myself for that one. I can deal with losing the music but the photos is a different story.
Now I did back up the old Torch prior to doing my warranty exchange, so shouldn't all of the photos be on that backup?
So, finally, all that to say, my questions are:
1) how do you get your songs to show in the media player when they are on the sd card? This puzzles me because once I reloaded all my music onto the card, they're all there with zero issues.
2) Is there a way for me to access my photos only on my last backup so I can put them back on my phone? I tried doing a restore & selecting only certain files, but photos don't list as an option
Thank you so much for any help anyone can give.
I have one final question about my sd card. When I try to transfer my music (3.9gb), I get to about 700 of my 936 & I get a window that says I don't have enough room, but I had 14gigs free. Why would it limit me?
