Hey I have already saved my SMS text messages on my phone but I'm gonna upgrade to torch and want to save them on my sim card so i don't lose them when i change phones. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Why not just use the Device Switch Wizard in BlackBerry Desktop Manager to transfer the data to the new device?

Open Desktop Manager > click Device Switch Wizard.

Connect the 8900 and let the DSW do it's thing. When it is done it will prompt you
to remove the 8900 (Device A) and connect the 9800 (Device B). Again let the DSW
do it's thing and you are done.

This of course, assumes you will have both devices at once. If you don't, simply
Backup the 8900 and when the 9800 arrives Restore from the backup you made.

Both methods will carry your text messages over.
