I think I might pass on this one. It would make my new ipod classic 15% less useful.

well considering they have theorized that they can reach up to 40gb on a microSDHC with current technology. meaning 200gb on an SD card, ish. I cant find the story right now but it is on the internet somewhere

Price means nothing when it comes to my BB! If they launched a 16GB for 300.00 I would buy it! Heck I just bought a new Red Curve should be here Monday!

if you think about it, the growth is accelerating for the microSD capacity. Feb last year, 4gb was announced, Oct, 8gb, and Jan this year 12 and 16gb.

I have a 2GB and it takes awhile to load my photos. With 3,000 photos? How long would the wait be? I'd say, buy when the need comes. Practical and good money management.

When and if BB applications can be saved on the microSD cards, then this huge capacity of cards are definitely going to fly. But until then, it is not for me.

Aside from bragging rights ("Well my microSD card is bigger then yours"), i can't really see the practical need of a 12/16GB card for me. Unless you could store apps on it like chinesecatt mentioned.

I wouldn't use it as a bragging rights. I would store more movies, music! I have to delete movies to add more on and I have a 8 gig! I was able to fill the 8 gig within minutes of having it. Yea I will say I would love to be able to store apps on it but I really don't have any apps on my BB other then Opera Mini and google maps. I guess its just personal preference!

I would love a 12 or 16 or 32..lol I use my BB in my car. I connect it to my car raido and it put my BB in mass storage mode and play the music off my BB. I love it eliminates having cd in my car or burning cds.
