The results of the union are yet unknown to me, but it might be fun for some to try and get this 'running' effectively.

Fitness with Gear and Gear Fit manager apk's seem to be running fine on my Z10 by the way.

Just dont have a Gear Fit to test the band with the rest of the software

I was able to install Gear Fit Manager successfully but once I accept Bluetooth paring confirmation Gear Fit Manager shows an error saying "Gear fit manager stopped working"

tried couple of times but no luck...

Let's hope we get some full official native smartwatch action soon.

Don't really want to carry two devices just to get smart notifications, kinda defeats the object of 'smart' and glanceable communication.

Went to the samsung store awhile ago.. tried to pair. With gear fit.. unfortunately it crashes.. but with gear 2 I was able to connect although I wasnt able to play with the watch because it had a different language on!

The way to make the Smartwatch see your device is to have the app, unfortunately when it tries to download the packages it fails. The only way to make this work is that if someone finds a way to preinstall parts of the apk (apk is like a zip file for android) then we can make it work on bb10. I have tried to do this but it throws an error because you can't install parts of an apk.

I get Gear fit aswell, tried all Samsung Gear fit manager apk's but without succes. Everytime when i try to pair Gear fit with Z10 app stop work and crash...

But Id love to get gear fit work without getting working android device :-/

Maybe someone with 10.3 leak could give a shot :-)

For me, the Pebble is still the King of the Pack. Works tremendously well with BB10 once you install the Talk2Watch native app.

Just tried it on my Q10 with 10.3.0.1052 and Gear Fit Manager 1.70. I'm able to connect to my Gear Fit and adjust settings like the watch layout and wallpaper. However, none of the notifications work.

I'm using Gear Fit Manager on my Z30 with 10.3.0.908. I get incoming call notifications using Gear Fit Phone, but it doesn't show caller id. I also have Gmail installed on the Z30 and it sometimes will show incoming messages on the Gear Fit, but I haven't been able to get it to work consistently yet...

I installed Gear Fit Manager using the steps in the OP;s link.

Since then I've updated the firmware on the Gear Fit to BNG2 and installed Gear Fit Manager 1.99.1128. But I didn't get any more functionallity than from the original from the OP links.

Don't you have to do a workaround with non Samsung phones with another Android phone to get it to work with them? I don't think even then all of the features are available so you are probably out of luck.

there is a video on youtube "Gear Fit + BlackBerry Z10" whit a Z10 changing wallpapers on a gear fit , no other info on the video , it looks real , the best combination for now is blackberry passport with the gear fit

Now that you are good friends with BlackBerry, could you please make your Smartwatches and fitness bands compatible with BlackBerry 10 Smartphones. This would make myself and many other users very happy indeed.

All notifications work, although you must install Native samsung apps (sms, phone, calendar)
