Is the sachesi update the same as official? Besides things like wifi calling and stuff, will it be bug free? Smooth scrolling and all around performance? If the official update rolls out this winter, I really don't want to wait. And how easy will it be to revert back to 10.1 if I don't like the sechesi update?

    Welcome to Crackberry forums!

A little clarification here; Sachesi is a method to download the newly released OS and install it on your phone, while being on a carrier that is not offering it yet. The only difference might be the carrier programs.

The other way to get .1791 on your phone, is to download the leaked version. To me, it's a much easier method, as you end up just unzipping an executable file.

This doesn't actually answer your question, but it's the method I prefer. Good luck and enjoy!

I'm pretty good with computer so don't mind using a more difficult method as long as the operating system is better. Which do you think performs better?

Updating through sachesi will be non destructive. Updating with a leak/autoloader will wipe your data and you will have to restore from whatever method of your choice. I prefer updating through sachesi as it is much less of a headache for me. Download the files, drag, drop, and wait. Done.

It also won't let me use Canada (302) and rogers (720) while on variant SQN 100-3, which is what my device is.

I just updated OS 424 on Airtel network in India through Sachesi tool using Vodafone (015) UK (234). Everything went very smooth. No hassels of backup and restore. Even all email accounts are intact and working. Great way of updating OS.

Thanks for the insight, but I am still having the issue that it won't let me do the update because of the device variant. It keeps changing to 10.1 when I want to do 100-4.

Try it with a different carrier and/or country.

You need the stl2 or 3 variant which works on 4. Ensure you get the debrick files as you would want to upgrade everything not just apps
