What I read was their initial order of 1,500 had to be bumped up to 2,500 to cover pre-orders. That 600k figure is fanciful.

That also sounds too low to be plausible. That initial order would probably not even cover 1 per store.
Wow really, when did this become a bash America thread?!? The key word in your statement is "Teens". It has nothing to do with the country. Teens will follow trends. I'm proud of my country and I support and have always supported BlackBerry for what the devices do for me. I'm no sheep!
These comments about Americans are a waste of time. We can all agree on BB10, let's discuss it
Yeah! And besides, everyone knows us Australian's are becoming much shallower, fatter and more stipuder than American's anyway. Oh, and we're competitive too. ;)
On topic: Honestly, with the size of the market around the world I think it's common sense for shipping to be there or thereabouts. Takes a long time to get through Customs in some places.
600k order is not fanciful, its probably low considering they still sold over 7 million old phones last quarter, I just doubt that many have been pre-ordered.
If the Z10 launches within days of the 30th you have to hand it to RIMM. I would have never thought they could get that many phones out without more leaks by now.
The guy was right they did get new BB phones in. Too bad they were the new BB7 devices set for launch now. They were announced 2 weeks ago. BB10 aren't going to be sitting around in lock up for 2 weeks waiting for something to happen to them.
These were the figures from Rogers. Anyway, I'm sure the ex- COO knows what he's doing regarding shipping etc.
