lol... honestly, I really do think it will be released almost immediately. I won't be surprised at all that come mid day, I'll have my new phone in hand.

BlackBerryScoop always has a big heaping scoop. You just don't want to know what it is a scoop OF. :)
Hope we don't have to wait another 4 to 8 weeks to have the actual device in our hand. I guess we'll know next week.
As I stated many times already, my European source told me "February" months ago. From 1 to 28 will fit perfectly to me.
Meh, I heard they're going to be available in store on the 32nd at Roberts.
Yes. I have three courses to take this week, and we received our sim card that's provisioned for the BB10 demo live device today.
The time line is right with what has happened with the demo sims previously.
I had to get the red SGS3...garnet is my birthstone! Excuses sent via Tapatalk 2
Can people please stop giving that twitter account the oxygen of publicity, he has merely picked up on the same rumours that have been on here and elsewhere and declared them more definitely in an attempt to appear like he has insider info rather than the simple ability to repeat a rumour.
Okay here's my thoughts about Scoop.
1. RIM or someone really close to RIM hasn't come on here or on Twitter and denied this account and its claim to be representing the company. Usually companies will take legal action against misrepresentation. It could truly damage their image. Twitter would have already closed it upon RIM's request if this was the case.
2. You're right, its all hint and rumors, never straight answers. Think of the account as a gossip account. Whether its right or wrong, it buzz. Hense the use of the word "Scoop". When people ask, "What's the scoop?" It usually implies, what's the latest word on the street or in the rumor mills.
Of course, continue to take all rumors/scoops with a grain of salt or whatever you have in your cubbard. Whether its tweeted or posted as a thread, we won't know until we KNOW.
As for me, I'm watching every rumor with the hope of factuality. That's the fun part.
Can you point to posting of the Feb 5th rumour prior to BlackBerryScoop's post?
Just do a search through various topics on this board, plenty of dates have been mentioned as coming from carriers.
That account has generally tried to claim insider knowledge rather than coming directly from Rim and in any case, why should they waste their time giving unwarranted publicity that would merely help that person.
any rumours as to an Australian release date given the fact everything that comes here has to come by sailing ship.

The only thing I can say for certain, having worked for carriers for many years.. if those on here that are saying they've received their demo sims are telling the truth, then it will in fact come very soon. Those sims are not shipped far in advance, but they end up getting lost or used for other things.. they generally get sent just a few days before the demo phone arrives.. AND if anyone is about to say well maybe the instore demo is coming soon, but the phones won't be for sale yet.. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.. having a live demo for a product that isn't for sale is bad for business.. it's all about SWAT.. Sell Whats Available Today.. no carrier or store is going to showcase a product they don't have, because that leads to the customer walking out of the store.. and you never know if they'll come back on release day or go somewhere else.. The name of the game is sell what you do have, and act like nothing new is coming until it comes..
Rogers has had previous BlackBerries available before Bell. If it's true that Bell will release on Feb 5th, there is a good chance Rogers will release it closer to launch.

Pure speculation of course.. but I think all carriers will get it on the same day.
All that want it at least.. I can't speak to import issue in foreign country's or whatever the case may be, but I think all of Canada at the very least.. likely all of North America will release it on the same date.. whatever that date may be..
Exactly.
And this is exactly why I still believe Roberts will have them for sale in stores on the 32nd.
Ok seriously... lol
At the end of the day SWAT is all that matters to the carrier.
All I'll say is look for Rogers to have it first.
Rogers has quite a history with RIM and are big BlackBerry supporters.
They're also the biggest wireless company in Canada and are obsessed with being first to market.

it might be available at launch in many countries. It will be available in Dubai on Feb 1
Thanks for tip! I just booked my flight. :D

If I publicly claimed that I was an insider for a company, I'm sure they would take legal action against me forcing Twitter to close the account. This protects the brand and the company and prevent inaccurate information to be associated with the company. They wouldn't care about giving unwarranted publicity.
But really, I dont care if this account it legit or not, its entertaining.
This. The sim came with strict instructions that it was to be locked up in the safe until launch. They hardcore monitor those sims. I was surprised we got it this week, frankly. As far as the demo hardware, we had our live SGS3 2 weeks prior to launch. We had the red demo a week prior to the stock. We do occasionally get the live demo a week or two out from the hardware (due to last minute delays from the expected date) but I can count on one hand how many times that happened. We had our preordered iPhone 5's in stock 2 weeks prior to the actual launch. We had our store stock a week prior along with the live demo. The demo actually arrived prior to the sim.
I was in Telus an hour ago and they told me they will have them in stock and for sale on the 30th, which I didn't believe.
Why so much dis-taste for BlackberryScoop? He promotes, defends and Informs user's of Blackberry 10. In my books he's a true blackberry fan.
And as far as that rumour goes for Feb 5? It's seems like it has some kind of backbone since; Crackberry, NerdBerry, MobileSyrup and N4BB are all covering it. You might as well hate them too for roaming our forums for lies.
If Feb 5 isn't true, will find out soon. It's just a rumour.
We'll nobody knows for sure.. but it would sure be nice if it was Feb 5th.. In fact the only thing better would be if it was feb 4th.. or 3rd.. oh or 2nd.. or first.. hrmm maybe Jan 31st.. or 30th.. LOL
When I went to pre-order a Z10 device, the salesperson at Best Buy said to me "launch date is January 30th and a 'street date' is January 31st." So take that for what it is worth.
