Those companies with strong pin policies and multiple tier login policies will likely not be effected.

Just because stuff can happen doesn't mean, I'm gonna leave my doors unlocked, key in the ignition, walk down a railroad track, hug a jellyfish or hang from a high tension line having a blase attitude about life with a **-hum "it is what it is" attitude.

No system is immune to breakdown. We live and learn. We llimit our risks to an acceptable level and life goe right on.

The news is no surprise. Invent a stronger. System and someone will invent a still stronger exploit. Game on.

The thing with security is that there's always a "key solution". If a key solution exists, the principal of the system is already unsecure.

There are a lot of technology topics that have a relationship to topics discussed in this forum but are totally off-topic. Example: because the cpu and chipset used in phones has been discussed, can we now start discussing the new intel and AMD chips/chipsets as well?

Nothing, but with as diverse this forum has become, tech news is tech news. Also, RSA security is something very important to even mobile platform users.

Security is only as good as it is untill it's hacked. If the hackers geeks are better than your IT geeks, you need better geeks. I think with the exploits that we are seeing whether it be WikiLeaks, or RSA, or Blackberry 6.0 WebKit browser, we all need to face the reality that nothing is as safe as we believe it to be.

Nothing, but with as diverse this forum has become, tech news is tech news. Also, RSA security is something very important to even mobile platform users.

As smartphones are now basically computing devices this can be said about any type of tech news or cloud news.

But to me this is more of a back-end security issue. The IT staff of these companies that use these devices have to have strong IT policies to being with.

A weak lock on a strong door accomplishes will only keep honest people out.

There is a Blackberry app for RSA that many companies use in place of the token so it does affect BB. We just put our whole RSA on BB project on hold until we get more details of this breach.

As long as your user passcode meets good standards you should be okay. Deployment of BB app continues.

This is the most shocking tech news i've heard in a really long time. Not in a 100 years was I expecting to see this when I logged in. 128 bit security has never been hacked. Virtually all Citrix and VPN systems utilize RSA. Is there anything stronger?

Its the customer info that was hacked.
