i called the rogers location i'm having my z10 shipped to (metrotown mall, burnaby BC) and spoke to a rep a few minutes ago. I told him i received an e-mail stating that my z10 had been shipped last week. he confimed that the z10s were in stores now, ready for sale tomorrow. i asked if i could pick up my device tonight. the guy sighed and said "that type of thing could get me fired."

looks like i'll have to go over there on my lunch hour tomorrow.

Let's see.....two and a half hour train to NY AND then a two and a half plane to Montreal plus thirty minutes for a taxi ride to the closest Rogers then an hour there plus another half hour taxi to the airport then two and a half back to NY then two and a half train back to DC.

Nope. Can't do it in one work day. Can't get "sick" today.

Yikes, you're right, I smell a money grab, the dates are too coincidental to the Z10's release. Still, I see that they've now included Call display and voicemail, whereas you needed a Value Pack or each service added on separately before. (Still more expensive though). Better to go with Fido/Virgin/Koodo if you want to save money.

Just call in to customer retention. That's what I did a few days ago. New plan contracts at the store are from list price... nobody wants to pay list price.... I certainly don't and won't
