The title of the post is INCORRECT. According to the article mentioned by the OP. The only reference to Rogers is:

I have a BlackBerry Z10 reserved but if it is not available on the same day as the general public can walk into my wireless carrier to buy it, I will walk into the store, buy it and cancel my reservation. I am not going to wait up to 15 days after public availability from my wireless carrier.

the reservations are meant for walk in pick up anyway. Not after general release

you had to tell them what store you wanted to pick it up on the reservation page for rogers. and you can get it at another one if you see it somewhere else first

people are reserving something (and had to pay $40 on their last bill) and they dont truly even know what it is. id say thats pretty good

Considering that not even a price, or final specs have been released. I would say thousands is pretty good.

We're not iSheep here. We don't jump on a bandwagon and say Apple made it so it's good. Well, except for the 2500 that preordered that are saying the previews are good enough, and start throwing money at the screen. lol

Not that there is anything wrong with it. But I think most people are looking for something more solid, like pricing, final specs, more details.
I know my friend isn't preordering because his contract doesn't end until November of this year.
And others are simply going to get it instore on the day of release. This is especially since the Rogers preorder doesn't guarantee that you will get the phone first.

at 2000 (based on that persons post) that is $80 000 just to be on a list... if i made a product that people paid $80 000 for just to have a name on a list for i would say i did a good job.

Ya, it's legit. My UPS tracking page says "Out for Delivery" but that doesn't neccessarily mean I'll be able to pick it up before the 5th. Not sure what kind of limitations they have but I will most definitely be making an effort once I have confirmation that it's delivered.

well i got one on the 30th at the TO Fan Night extravaganza....so now i gots to cancel this one....hopefully, this is a painless process and i can make another Rogers customer happy!
