Y'all should ask Fairfax to buy Rogers. That would fix it

I don't think that the z10 sales are indicative of how well the z30 will do. The rumours of the z30 have been around since before BB10 even came out.. Maybe people are waiting for the z30 and its just those with less patience grabbed a z10 because they couldn't contain their excitement. Some wait for the second year model like in autos, so the manufacturer gets all the kinks out.

I would be tempted to argue that the Z30 is still a 1st gen device given the different specs to the Z10 so I'm inclined to think there would be a large contingent of that group still waiting for the kinks to be worked out..

I hope I'm wrong but it doens't look good..

I can see your point but they (BB) still had months after z10 released to tweak z30 specs and OS

RIght, data usage is the holy grail so how are they getting money for data usage when the devices are taking up space in a warehouse, not being sold..? The carrier has to buy a certain number of units so Rogers is already sitting on hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost revanue (that is ironically costing them money as well as just losing value) so they are taking a double hit for warehouses full of devices and accessories that they can't sell so remind me again why they would add yet another device line that, for the average consumer, is just a slightly larger version of the Z10 when they can't sell the inventory they've got?
That is why Rogers is giving the Z10 away for $0 on a 2 year plan.

Yes. Might be new device but using same OS. And 10.2 is more mature than what came out with Z10 which caused some problems. Who knows though.

Which is kind of a kick in the teeth having just upgraded my wife from a curve to a Z10 for $50 (well $100 with a $50 online coupon) about maybe a month ago but yes, I will quite happily do my part and upgrade to a Z10 (for 'free') and pay for it over the 2 years like most of the rest of Rogers customers.

    LOL.

Hopefully it's more powerful than the epic "backlash" that Netflix faced. That boycott brought Netflix to its, uh, knees.
Looks like it was hahaha who would have thought lol

I'm still moving my accounts, because if they did this once they'll do it again. I'm not sticking with a company that will limit my options.

I thanked them too, but as it was in the middle of the raging against the outage (they were getting absolutely slammed!) I wasn't sure they noticed - but got a thank you for my thank you the next day. Lol.
