Why when I try to call people when there out of the country it always goes straight to voice mail?? Why do they shut off there phone? You don't get charged for leaving it on. As long you have data roaming off your fine..

Wrong, when you call people that are roaming it costs them. Receiving calls while roaming is not free.

What ever I'll just text him it'd cheaper. Only 75 cents for him.. unless you buy a plan.. I just don't know why people shut off there phone when leaving the country. Been traveling a lot all I do is shut off Data roaming and your good to go if u don't answer anything. But you know what your charged if u do..

I should l. I don't know why people freak out and shut off there phones right away. Like your not getting charged until u send or answer a call or use data like relax lol
The carriers should educate them more better. They all look at these stories of 6,000 bill after coming back.. it scares the people because of the idiots that stream YouTube or leave data roaming ON the whole time no wonder lol..

maybe they are educated but they don't care to hear from you when they are traveling. send the sms and carry on with your life.
