Q2 earnings have increase for Nam Tai Electronics due to a new unnamed customer, their stock has double in the last month or so. They have been compensated for a delay in production.

Motley fool ran an article yesterday with the title: New Apple manufacture.
Looking through their Q2 earnings I found some interesting things, please read below.

    Nam Tai Electronics

Regarding the business of high-resolution LCMs for smartphones in the Shenzhen manufacturing facility, the Company has recently reached an agreement with its customer for the pricing and business terms and has received the relevant production orders. The production pilot run will be started in August 2012 and the mass production will commence in September 2012.
For the second half of 2012, the Company's management anticipates the tablet LCM business will run smoothly and the smartphone LCM orders will also commence their production in Shenzhen, which could generate further increases in sales and the Company's profit may also continue to improve.

the Company had $6.5 million in other income, of which $4 million was compensation income from customers for a percentage of the costs and overhead expenses incurred in relation to the postponement of the mass production of certain products.

Yes, but they do get plenty of parts made there. Most of the parts inside whatever BB you're sitting with got produced there, it's only the assembly they do somewhere else.

This could easily be o e of those submanufacturers.

And as for Apple, yup it's way too late for an iPhone5, but could easily be the rumoured iPad Mini.

Doesn't Apple have many suppliers? Maybe they were able to add some new company. Maybe they are looking to dump some current supplier.
