    The best thing they did was to apply pressure to the carriers to insist on data plans for their devices. This is a fairly solid revenue stream that won't go away on a whim. All those BOGO deals VZW has made, each with a mandatory data plan is good for RIM.

    RIM did a good job marketing towards the non-business consumers. And, they did a great job at selling their phones through ALL the major carriers so anyone could get a BB without switching carriers.

    Now, they need to work on a new OS and they'll continue to stay ahead of Apple.

    why? The storm 2 will be a better BB and it will have wifi. And they will be releasing more cmda BB's in the future that have wifi.
