I have Windows 7 installed and noticed that the "RIM Virtual com ports" aren't showing up in Device Manager.

Tried multiple types of devices, VZ 8330, Storm, VZ8703e, ATT Curve, ATT Pearl..

Anyone else with Win7 able to confirm this?

Is there a problem you are having, or are you just noticing this as a curiosity?

Trying to flash a Verizon 8330 to MetroPCS using QPST, but it's not listing the COM ports that *should* be there.

Is DM compatible with Windows 7 yet? At least the version you are running I mean. A lot of the time drivers are OS specific as the API's change between versions. That might be the cause. And it's the reason I absolutely hate creating Windows drivers.

Well, I had 5.0 installed, I booted up and it said there was an update, 5.0.1

Updated and DTM actually works fine. I can do everything I normally can do, except make use of the virtual com ports. =/

installed the 5.0.1 update for DTM and now both the RIM Virtual com ports are showing.

    Issue resolved!
