    How about a 4 layered thick blackberry with horizontal and vertical keyboards and a second screen, that when you open it, it looks like a swiss army knife
    Sounds more like a Nintendo DS than a smartphone.

    Good point ... limited dialing options would definitely be a drawback. You'd be pretty much forced to dial using the touch screen only, which I do anyway.

    There are phones out with the numbers flipped around for specifically that purpose.

    This is a kyocera tx (feature phone from virginmobile), which would only light up the number keys if the phone is held vertically, and not only that, but light up in a different color (blue) than the non-number keys, to easily distinguish. Flip the phone horizontally and the blue lights go out and the whole keypad is glowing white.

    If a 50 dollar phone can do that, I don't see why BB's couldnt' have features like that.
    Ohh and for extra, this 50 dollar feature phone also features a red flashing light for text messages and missed calls.
