- Any idea why only some people were affected? Was it just people from a certain carrier?
How would this happen? Does RIM handle different carriers' customers differently on their servers?
Also, was there a work-around? Someone said you could use wi-fi temporarily instead. If this is the case, RIM should let people know this in case this happens again.
Should RIM give people a heads up when they are about to do server upgrades so these people can be prepared if something goes wrong or would that cause too much anxiety?09-23-12 07:38 AMLike 0 - Please add that some services were down Saturday evening in the US (around 5-8 PM Eastern Time). Same type of deal (not all carriers; not everyone) but no e-mail, BBM, etc. This time there was no explanation or apology from Mr. Heins.09-23-12 08:19 AMLike 0

Nope, no work around. Even via wifi it goes through the NOCs.
