Just got to thinking about everything rim is rolling out. The new sandstone pearl along with several tmo colors. The 8220. The 9000 the 9530 and 9500. The 8900 and its cdma variant most likely 8930. The app store. Plus the other software joints like myspace, slacker etc. Just seems like they've got a ton going on that will hit by the end of the year. Too much do you think?

Sometimes I think they have gotten a little bit ahead of themselves by releasing all this in one year, but hopefully they know what they are doing.

Maybe they are releasing all this to gain a wider selection of users of all ages.

I think they know what they are doing....flood the market and get the most diverse group of buyers interested. Just my guess though.

Think of the other side...Palm takes forever to deliver a product, and then its underwhelming at best. If nothing else, RIM is keeping interest high by constantly staying in the spotlight.

I've had a Palm since forever, but man, is that company suffering or what?

Very good points. I don't think they have to worry about gaining customers. They seem to be doing good with all these different blackberrys and price ranges.

They have a phone to fit eveyones budget, style, and needs.

That's exactly what I think they are trying to do. With the iPhone trying getting most of the markets attention they want to draw away from that buy pumping out new devices for every type of individual.

Pretty smart if you ask me.

The company that manufactures Palmolive Dish Soap used to have one or two brands on the store shelves. The marketing people took charge and now they have like 27 different names on the same shelf. They figure if you don't buy one you'll find another one you will buy. Market saturation.

Looking at the leaked document discussing the Storm and its target market and market segmentation, I'd say it's obvious RIM's marketing department has done their homework and knows exactly what they're doing.

Well BlackBerry Unite! is aimed directly at that market. It's like a family BES.
