Hey guys, I was just reading some threads about the removal of the sys.android.bar file as it is preventing me from running my sideloaded apps such as pandora and snapchat. Everyone says the only way is to do a security wipe but I'd like to leave that as a last resort and was wondering if you could use the Playbook App Manager from Google Chrome to remove it. I see the file in the App Manager but my only option is the permanent button and when that is pressed a notification pops up saying "Uninstall sys.android: failure 535 permanent". Just wondering if I could somehow remove it this way because the last thing I want to do is wipe my blackberry

OMG. Listen to Kris. It's not possible, which is good, because if you do, nothing will run
If you did a restore after you updated the OS, that's why your sideloaded apps aren't working
Link me to where/who said you should remove sys.android.bar
I want to see what in the world that person is saying/smoking

I can't find the threads any more, but serveral sources told me I need to get rid of it because I downloaded the bar from the internet. I'll keep looking for them and link you

So you tried to install the 4.2.2 runtime as expected, you need to find the 2.3.3 runtime

I am in the same boat - I want to delete it since I downloaded it onto my phone without UPDATING the leak. I do not want to upload the leak and will just wait but want to delete this sys.android.bar so that I can have my apps working again.
