    ok, i just came across all the my faves icons in the device memory and they are locked and unable to be deleted.

    how do i go about getting rid of them?

    Those are included in the "preloaded pictures" for the device.

    Just a note using MaxMem : be careful if you remove themes. If you remove ones you need as the 'backbone' for third party themes down the road, then you will have to reload your OS in order to restore them

    Typically you need to delete if from your .cod file list on your computer go to " C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files " > the os you are using > java and look for the files. something to the degree of
    net_rim_tmo_five
    net_rim_tmo_five_lib
    net_rim_tmo_enabler
    net_rim_tmo_enabler_lib

    delete those four files and run apploader found @ C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
