    yes there are many newer model refurbs available. you can get them from the carriers directly, or you can go through sites like amazon.com

    I got mine from ATT and it was like new I couldn't the difference from the new one I got from TMO. It was really great because they were free for little while.

    Att is a great source for refurbs, and it still comes with the year warranty so why not.
