Sorry in advance for this ignorant question. I've had a BB for years, currently use a Tour connected through my company's enterprise server.

Just talked my wife into th 8900 and I'm in the process of getting it set up for her. I'm struggling with something though. This is the part where I look ignorant...

I'm pretty tech savvy... but can't figure out if there's a way to get my wife's 8900 to wirelessly reconcile (on-the-go) with her Outlook. Is this just not possible without an enterprise server?

Not possible w/o BES. BIS is push only.

    BES? BIS?

My apologies... spoiled by a company that's always done it for me!

BES is BIS plus: encryption, wireless synchronization, etc. With only BIS, you would have to get creative to get wireless synchronization. Most of us use google's gmail to sync contacts and calendars wirelessly. On the pc end, you can use google sync to sync outlook with gmail.

For syncing email inboxes, I haven't played around with it yet.
