    Hello,

    I am new to BB world. In fact I don't have a BB but I am about to receive one from a friend.

    Can we transfer a BB unit from one carrier to another one ? If not, is it legal in Canada to unlock a BB phone to have it registered with the carrier of my choice?

    What carrier is the phone branded to and what carrier do you want to take use it on? You can unlock your phone and move to another carrier, yes.

    The actual carrier is Bell and the target one is Telus. Is it really legal to unlock it?
