So with the news that Google Voice can now take over my crappy sprint voicemail service ( Google Voice Can Now Take Control Of Your Mobile Voicemail )
I changed it over in about .5 seconds.

But I cant reassign the W or 1 key to call my google voice line to check messages.

I have the Sprint BB Tour. The w or 1 key is the only one that I cant reassign. The other default speed dials I can...until i figure out how to do it, I will be stuck with speed dialing on 2....

Not sure about the Tour but on my Curve I stored a number under another speed dial and then went into my speed dial list went to that number hit bb key and selected move. I then moved it to "w" and it worked.

Well on my tour I actually had to go to the phone, then the option key, and then Options to see the Voicemail option to change...

but it worked, thanks a lot!
