    Thanks for clarifying that. I figured there was some sense to them. But I think that's too convoluted nowadays. Short and sweet:

    Z series, Z1, Z2, Z3
    Q series, Q1, Q2, Q3
    And so forth.

    Remember, people are unbelievably dumb (evidenced by how many iphones sell a year). So we gotta keep it simple for the children.
    I like that simple choice of names, because successively larger numbers correspond to subsequent releases, unlike the current models. Thus:
    Q10 ---> Q1,
    Z10 ---> Z1,
    Z30 ---> Z2 and so on.

    However, I don't appreciate your condescension and stereotyping of people, iphone users or not.

    10 seems like there would be an 11. Or 12. Or 15. Etc. Keep it simple. 1 2 3 4. Is there any other successful (thus not Nokia) phone series that have double/triple digit series names?

    And yes, you do sell the life style. How is that hard to understand? God - damn it, no wonder the internet turns people into dicks, I'm becoming such an ******* because you can't understand a basic marketing principle. *gives up* *waits for the hate*
    Sorry to disappoint you but there is no forthcoming "hate". Selling the lifestyle for BlackBerry seems to me an unworkable concept as BlackBerry is no longer an aspirational brand and there is almost no one who considers their choice of phone an extension of themselves...well not anyone that is an adult at least. In short, there is no BlackBerry lifestyle given the devices are in the hands of professionals, semi-professionals, students, grandmothers, construction workers, the kid working at McDonalds and just about everyone else in every spectrum of society.. To "sell the lifestyle" there would have to be an element of exclusivity or at the very least a clearly defined market. EVERYONE is decidedly not a clearly defined market.

    But to your naming scheme again, I disagree that 10 would indicate there would be an 11. I haven't a clue as to which devices with multi numeric schemes have sold well but I also do not see how that is a point. BlackBerry needs to distinguish itself from it's competitors. Having a Z2 or Q3 seems to me to be too close in naming to that of Samsung (S2, S3, S4) and Apple (3G, 4S, 5C).

    I think they should use the names of the American Gladiators:

    Malibu, Lace, Zap, Gemini, Nitro, Sunny, Blaze, Bronco, Gold, Laser, Jade, Titan, Diamond, Ice, Thunder, Turbo, Storm, Tower, Viper, Altas, Cyclone, Elektra, Havoc, Sabre, Siren, Sky, Dallas, Hawk, Jazz, Rebel and Tank.

    You know you love it.
    Most epic suggestion ever.

    I would start with renaming the OS. QNX sounds good to me, I wonder if anyone ever thought about it before

    BlackBerry Powered by QNX sounds like a line I would use. Especially with that commercial they made that explains how QNX is used through all different types of systems so then QNX would mean something to people.

    The four phones(they only need four) would be:

    Flagship: Slider = SwitchBlade
    Midrange Hybrid(Q10) = Bold
    Midrange All Touch = Blade
    Lower end Hybrid = Alpha(Beginner, starter that kind of thing)

    The next version of the Q10 should be considered the "new" Bold. And if they release another Q5 that could be a curve.

    I think they might need new names for the Z line though. Just because they've never had an all touch screen phone. Besides the storm

    how about the number of berries tells you the model?

    So you'd have the Blackberry Berry then the Blackberry Berry Berry and then the Flagship device the Blackberry Berry Berry Berry.

    If it were possible to re name the current range of devices, what would your choices be?

    i'll start it off.

    Z30 = Berry One
    Q10= Berry Two
    Z10= Berry Three
    Q5= Berry Four

    Posted via CB10
    Q10 Berry One / OEM device
    Because it still looks like a blackberry as for the others I think their competitive device clones to win those customers over be it apple or Samsung.
    Without the logo on those devices you wouldnt be able to tell what it is exactly where with the Q10 with a glance you know it's a blackberry!

    With Chen's Disney connection, and now that Disney own Star Wars, BlackBerry phones will have a Star Wars theme:

    The Vader 1,2,3 etc
    The Skywalker 1,2,3 etc
    The Yoda.

    The Yoda would have a special theme that completely messes up the sentence structure on anything. In order to be read properly, people would have to text you in yoda-speak.

    I would keep the names as they are but give them a little extra based on colour

    Blackberry Z10 in White - Blackberry Z10 Purity
    Blackberry Z10 in Black - Blackberry Z10 Temptation

    etc etc
