My 5S is in landscape right now and hasn't rotated. Unless there is a certain option I am missing, the iPad is the only iOS device able to go landscape while on the homescreen.

Ah okay, had no idea it was iPad only but admittedly never tried it on my iPhone.

I've actually got one of these beasts. I hacked mine though. I chopped off the "wings" and converted it to an "omni-dock", so I can slip in my playbook or my Z10 - since the port distances are identical.

Can you post up a photo of how you tore off the wings... If its not that difficult, I will be doing this over the weekend - Stream from Z10 to PB to BigScreen and Z10 becomes the remote!
If I were a betting man, i'll presume the Z30 is spaced the same way also.....hmmmmmmm

My mistake, I posted the wrong link. That was just the charging/sync dock. I can't get it to paste. The links were to ads from the UK eBay and Toronto Kijiji. Several have been for sale and as recently as Oct 9 on UK eBay. 5 were sold for �19.99, and I'm talking the OEM multimedia docks. Same as the OP is displaying. They are rare though.
