hi i just purchased a new blackberry 8320.for some reason i do not think its is brand brand new cause the box was opened.anyway to tell if the phone was actually used.i know on regular phones u can but can we with blackberrys

call the company and ask for the esn acct hist on the esn.

Where did you purchase it? Just because the package was open doesn't mean the device itself is used.

Still could be new. The seller may have just opened the
package to get photos for the listing.

Press ALT-shift-H all at the same time to get to uptime as well.

thanx tech that worked well.it says 5862 secs so id say its new but not brand new.

If you bought it unlocked, the seller had to start it up and enter the unlock code. If you bought it unlocked, it will not work with a Rogers SIM card until it is unlocked.

5800 seconds is nearly 100 minutes. Unlocking should take no more the 5 minutes.
