When listening to music or watching video on my BB whenever I get a call, text, or email the music or video stops. It is very annoying. Is there a setting which disables that?

Pretty sure the answer is no. They take presidence over the apps. Hopefully someone can correct me on this because it IS annoying.

Thank you for the spelling correction...no spell check on here. I'm sure they got what I was saying.

I have to wonder at the usefulness of listening to music while trying to hear someone on the phone?

Wouldn't be useful...I'm not listening to music while on the phone. I'm listening to music then when a message comes in the music is interrupted with a pause or ding for a few seconds...bit annoying. I can understand it definitely being interrupted for a phone call though...#1 on the BB.

Which BlackBerry do you have? I have a Curve 8320 & the music & videos only stop when I get a call. Otherwise. If I'm listening to music or watching vids nothing stops, my music/vids keep playing & my alert goes off without interruption.

Same here on my 8220. Nothing interrupts the music except for incoming calls... I do keep it on the vibrate profile at all times though. Maybe that has something to do with it.

It is after all, a phone. I guess that calls should really take precedence.

As to spelling, I use ieSpell, it's free. I have stuck it on the toolbar next to my Home icon. To use it, you select the text and click the icon. Works great.

If I want to listen to music without interruption, I use the "off" profile.

It may be your settings that are causing your interruptions.

As far as spelling I use Google Chrome web browser to access CB from the PC & it has a spell check feature built in. When I access CB via BlackBerry I use the native spell check feature.
