    Hello,

I was wondering if the following would be possible: Currently I cannot see the 'Enterprise Activation' option under Settings -> Advanced. That's probably due to my SIM card not being provisioned for this by my carrier O2 UK.

When I put the SIM card of my friend in, who is provisioned for BES, I can see the 'Enterprise Activation' option.

What would happened if I would activate my Blackberry with a hosted BES service using his SIM card and then put my SIM card back? Would it continue to work or would the carrier block those connections?

    Thanks

    Daniel

Basically you will get yourself into great confusion, and you might get unwanted IT policies on your phone if you try it.

Your identity for online access hangs on the SIM and Service Books sent from O2. Your identity on a BES or BIS server is probably on IMEI and/or PIN, but you would not see the server when you changed the SIM.

Tahnk Branta...... it's a pity but oh well.

I see you are with O2... Do you have BES provision and if so, how much do you have to pay for it?

No, this phone is BIS. O2 BES rates are published on the website, I think its something extortionate like 28/month for the privilege of supplying your own server and software licensing. Ripoff Britain again.

Why do you need BES service if your work doesn't provide it? There is very little practical difference between BIS and BES unless your employer is providing other business data by BES.
