Okay, I downloaded the old version of Desktop Manager (version 5 from 2009) and, in desperate attempt to unlock/flash my phone (curve 9320), ended up with a 507 error. Does this mean I will have to re-install BlackBerry, and if so will it be unlocked?

Desktop manager will not/cannot unlock your BlackBerry. You'll have to purchase an unlock code. We recommend CrackBerryUnlocking.com. An unlock code will cost you about $10.

As for the 507 error, it looks like an OS reload is in order:

Don't use crackberrys unlocking service and waste $10 I've used freemyblackberry.com and its worked for every bb I've had, it costs nothing, cheers.
