Before the rants begin, let me say I've read all the posts and I know that viruses can't survive or operate on BB os and there are no known viruses, etc.

My question is this: You go to download a program, game, or whatever, via the browser, and the BB says "this does not have a valid signature or certificate, do you want proceed?" You say yes and install whatever it is... Then, all **** breaks loose, random vibrates and rings when no events occur, calls dropping like mad, BBM sending and receiving msgs that weren't sent.

So, if it's not a virus, just a bad or very buggy game? Unistall, battery pull and all is well again???

Yeah, something just didn't play well with your device. It was definitely not a virus. Worst case scenario, the OS needs to be reloaded.

Agreed, there is currently no known virus for the BlackBerry...

I guess the real question is what did you download, was it just from some random shady site? A virus infects on its own, but if you willingly allow something harmful in then it's just poor user judgment.

It was a game from what I thought was a trusted site...
