Question about checking personal e-mails on company blackberry through internet
I travel frequently for work and my blackberry is pretty much my only form of entertainment on these trips. I have a company phone which I believe is connected to a BES server. Does anyone know if I use my phone to check my personal e-mails, such as on my yahoo account via the internet (this account is not set up on my phone), if my employer has access to this information. I.E. could the IT guy who isn't exactly fond of me be reading my personal e-mails? I've already heard he can see any text message I might send and it got me wondering. Thanks so much for your help.
I really don't know why people still
have questions about this type of thing considering it in the newspapers all the time.
None of your information passed through a company server is private, unless you are able to encrypt it somehow. This includes your phone conversations placed through company phones.
