i dont have the data plan that goes with the bb curve. im not i need it, but anyways my question is..i have it connected to my home network via wifi, will i be charged if im on the browser?

Just make sure Options point to HotsPot browser instead of Internet browser.

I use mine exactly the same way and, no I'm not charged because it's going through home network

You won't be charged but be aware the some apps need BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) in order to work. Although, some apps work with just WiFi, there's not a lot of them.

Just make sure Options point to HotSpot browser instead of Internet browser.
