The first QNX Blackberry devices code name is colt which will most likely not be kept at the time of release
soo
what does everyone think will RIM keep their current device line when they make the move to QNX early next year
will we be seeing a QNX bold or a new low-end QNX curve ?
when QNX is released it will be a time of change for RIM so it is likely they will make a new product line
People have speculated about a "BlackBerry 10,000" for years now, so I just figure it makes sense to give the designation to a phone that should be a huge step forward. As for which phone should get it, I guess whatever is the QNX flagship.
On a side note, if they decide to call it the "PlayBerry" I will fall out of my chair laughing.
It wouldn't surprise me, at least in the beginning. It would probably ease the transition for a lot of people. Though I do believe the plan floating around right now is to offer both BB OS devices and QNX devices simultaneously at least in the beginning, so that may not be an option.
I definitely DO NOT think they should keep their old style of naming phones. I believe they need to create a brand new image, and that will be accomplished with new naming. I doubt they will drop the Blackberry name though, but I think they may stray away from long numbers.
Maybe just maybe RIM will follow in the steps of Canon and Nikon with their pro-grade DSLR's. The numbers got so high that now they went as low as they could and started with 1 again.
A Canon 1D is a higher rated camera than the 50D now.
i think the icons are going to be significantly improved. i really hope that they dont introduce widgets. unlike it seems most people i really dont like the thought of widgets on a mobile device. i also want them to keep the current and maybe improve slightly the notification bar
