The Q30 is the first BlackBerry I've seen that is tempting me away from my Z10. I really want to give that keyboard a spin.

At first I was eyeing the Windermere but notmw that I've been hearing that the classic looks awesome based on the ones that attended the latest BlackBerry experience event, I might actually consider that.

1:1 is fine, qwerty should have 1:1 screen..
And q30 is just your nightmare...

You have no clue about business phones and the idea behind the 1:1 ratio... you are just a media consumer... just use a different phone

    Visit my Channel C00121417 ? ?
1:1 ratio sucks. Why can't I have my keyboard and my screen too? 9810 wasn't 1:1.

BlackBerry better start thinking outside the box because 1:1 ratio isn't going to turn any heads.

I'm sure there are people out there enjoying a big screen but missing a keyboard who would jump at a decent phone.

Time will tell if that ugly box is my nightmere or BlackBerry's.

I don't have to see them, I already know I will buy both.

    Neither.

Unless BlackBerry releases a flagship full-touch phablet in the next year, my beloved Z30 may be the last BlackBerry device I own (at least for a while).

I have nicknamed it the nightmare. Or nightmere.

Why they can't build a 16x9 screen with qwerty tool belt is beyond me. Like a Bold but better.

16x9 would be a nightmare with a toolbelt and keyboard. 16x9 is an ugly ratio, anyway, and was only chosen by the media industry as a compromise between 1.37:1 and 2.35:1.

I'd settle for whatever the Z10 is. Basically either a slider or a non slider another size of an open Torch but bigger screen.

Just give me a keyboard and rectangular screen I'd be happy.

For what reason? You'll never get a 16x9 screen in a candybar phone like the Q10. if you want it for movies, the Q30 should prove plenty wide enough to have decent 16x9 playback.

A horizontal screen like the 9900 makes sense if you want rectangular (but I doubt that's what you mean). Square is even better. But once you go vertical, balance will become a major issue. And I'm personally glad I don't have to rotate the screen ever. Square is clean and simple. Not ideal for media consumption. But if that's what you need, get a Z30.

Torch is the compromise phone. No interest in a slider. I'd love a flip phone, however.

The z30 or one of those new "all touch" models they showed off at the Blackberry event in London. It would all depend on the pricing? Hopefully they make it competitive so it will sell.
