Q20 will have a longer testing process because of the belt, so release 5 months after build seems plausible!

In the Bloomberg interview, Chen suggested later in the year. Around Sept./Oct., but he also said he wanted it out "yesterday." Who knows, but April seems quick.

I think there was no statement made from anyone that sounded valid - at least nothing that I'm aware of.
There was also no official announcent like for the Q20.
All I remember is an earlier JC interview where he confirmed that hey will continue to develop & build new touchscreen only and keyboard devices. But the names Q30 and Z50 were created here on this site, and didn't come from an official BB source, if I remember correctly.

I'm giving them these names. I know that it probably won't be called that but it's close enough. The jakarta was rumored to be called Z5 and will be released as Z3.

But if theyre able to get a hold of the real physical devices that soon, then we could see what they look like even sooner, and the release date might be sooner than the end of the year, it might be Chen just making sure he doesn't disappoint and the plan is to bring then out sooner than the end of the year..

Raffling them does not mean they will actually have the phones. It's probably like a pre-order.

Chen did say he does not want to disappoint as they have done in the past, but they can't simply release this like just another phone. It will take months to develop a seamless integration of hardware navigation buttons in an OS and apps that were made for touch input.

I am guessing pre-order too. Or Prem was using that - it's in an if-sentece after all - to create some interest.

Guys I need some help explaining to me what's so hard in integrating the track pad with bb10.

The way I see it is all gestures remain, and track pad works just like the 9900, which already had a touch screen. Touch pad does not need to replace all gestures, just assist in selection.

Unless there is smthg am missing.

Absolutely... they made 4 categories for a reason.... affordable (Z3),classic(Q20),highend(whatever Q30 or Z50) coming next. the fourth category we don't care about.
