After being away from BlackBerry for a few years I was getting sick of android phones and was really missing a real keyboard or so I thought so About two months ago I bought a q10 & a z10, when i received the phones the first one i started using was the q10 because of the keyboard, I immediately felt like I finally found a phone that I was truly happy with, the keyword the os the calendar the battery life loved the size of the phone as its easy to carry. I could go on and on about how great this phone but most people on this site already know this. So any way the other day I finally decided to give the z10 a try I didn't think I would like it because of not having a keyboard but quickly found out that the blackberry touch keyboard is by far the best I have ever used, the other thing I came to realize is that the blackberry os just plain and simply works. It's really not that I can't stand touch phones it's been the blackberry os I've been missing not just the physical keyboard other than being spoiled by the q10 battery life I was having a lot of fun laughing at all my friends constantly having to charge there phone's while my q10 was still going strong after a long day of use . The only thing I'm not liking is that the battery life on the z10 is horrible, I went and adjusted all the settings to the dark setting because from everything I've read that's the best settings for maximum battery life but it still just doesn't cut it. I hate always worrying about my battery going dead when I'm somewhere I can't get to a charger , does anyone know if there is anything that can be done to help this? Is there a bigger battery available that I don't know about. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I had a Z10 from Feb 13 until yesterday (now have a Z30, which is astonishing, in case it's an option for you..?). Great phone, love the BB10 OS - but, yes, battery life stinks. Some disagree, but a search on Crackberry will show that the majority find the same. However, the battery IS swappable. I carried spares, and never ran out, obviously, but it's a pain having to re-charge them all tho', if you happen to be away and charger-less in that time, but it does give you confidence to hammer away at the Z10 without concern. But I just got fed up of leaving my house at 7am with 100% battery, and having half of it gone by midday or before.

If you go with a Z10, spares are a few /$$ on Ebay or Amazon. You can buy bigger batteries for the Z10 - I did, and found it very unreliable ntho', with it draining to zero over night and getting concerningly hot often. There is a massive 3 or 4000+ one out there, and it actually comes with a different Z10 back door as it's far too fat for the unit as it is. Personally, I stuck with genuine ones and just a carried a couple around with me most of the time.

Get a battery bundle. It is lightweight, inexpensive, easy to carry and u can just charge the battery instead of doing a swap. I get about 10-12 hours per charge, and I have read other posters saying the same.

    Loving my Zed 10!!

Z30 or Q10, spend the extra money, the Z10 battery is horrible. Although still a great phone, if you can afford the q10 you should be able to afford a Z30.

You're in luck! The Z30 just became available direct from BlackBerry through the shopblackberry.com website... today! I just bought one from them. I've gotten the unlocked Z10s from them before with no issues.

The Q10 has a few features that the Z10 doesn't - like speed dial straight from the home screen, far more speed dial options, universal search, keyboard shortcuts in email. Little things, but when I used a loaner Z10 for 2 weeks, I really missed them. And I didn't find flick typing to be all that fast - it takes time to read the words and decide which one to choose.

Yes I agree on the q10. My problem is I like both phones and I'm trying to stick to just one phone.

Without a doubt Q10.Its the phone which symbolizes BlackBerry on what they do best. The phone is built around communication as main theme and the phone carries that attitude. In terms of build quality z10 when compared to q10 will look like a chinese plasticky cheap phone.Amazing responsive keyboard with excellent calll reception and all the. Goodness of BlackBerry 10 it's Q10 all the way

BlackBerry is known for their keyboard phones and the q10 will not let you down. The battery is plenty enough to last you through a day, sometimes I can get two days out of it if I watch my usage. I would not recommend the z10. BlackBerry is treating it as a low end device anyways.

If you are OK with typing on glass, get the Z30. I had a Z10 and recently got the Z30. I was a wall hugger with the Z10. Always looking for a wall charger and carrying extra batteries. The battery on the 30 is awesome. The keyboard is also bigger.

I also vote for a Q10. I used to be in the same boat for about a year until I bought my Q10. After having used a full touchscreen phone, I realized that I simply need a physical keyboard for daily use. As far as full touchscreen Blackberry phones, if you go that route...I vote for the Z30. I would own one for video/media use but I have yet to find a -1 model that will run AT&T LTE. Good luck in your decision!

Q10. I use the Q10 as my daily driver and have a 8 inch windows 8.1 tablet for all the media when I feel like movies or youtube and such. Can't beat the Q. Probably the perfect pocket smartphone of all time.

You can't have it all. There will be pros and cons. I have a Q5 and Z10. I had also tried Z30. It comes to our preference. Different people have different preferences. I got my Z10 because it was the first BlackBerry 10 out there. It is so smooth and cool except for the battery life. Not a big deal for me since I always carry around a huge power bank with me. Then I bought a Q5 because I thought I miss keyboard. But the experiences with Z10 is so great so now I'm back to Z10. Tried Z30 too and it s awesome. But it's kind of to big for me. For me Z10 has a cooler look.

I'm leaning towards doing that also. Using the q10 for my main device and getting a tablet for the times I want A big screen. the screen size of the z10 in my opinion is about as big as I like for carrying around. I also have samsung s3 which I have been using as a tablet since I bought a q10. the q10 there's just something about it that keeps me coming back. Size ease of carrying around battery life I can take notes fast and slip it back in my pocket faster than most can get there other brands of phones out of there pocket And Turned on. It's just like bam your done when I use the q10

The BlackBerry Z10 is better for watching videos and movies, playing most games, and reading PDFs and epubs due to the screen size. The BlackBerry Q5/10 is better as a communications devices although the FM radio is a nice feature not available with the BlackBerry Z10. I own and use both of these smartphones.
