I know BlackBerry is supposed to show off the Z3, but I was wondering if you think we could get an updated version of the Q10? The device is over a year old now and I'm thinking there should be a refresh soon.. thoughts?

My guess would be late Q2 or maybe early Q3 of this year. I just hope the new Q phone doesn't have a 1:1 aspect ratio, the only thing I don't like about my Q10.

The 1:1 ratio of the q10 has grown on me, it is basically a bit more screen real estate compared with a similar sized bb7 qwerty device as those always used to have a 3:4 and if we assume they would not be happy making a too tall w/s qwerty then it is a better option than going back to the older ratio that would split the app market further.

1:1 could be even more efficient if they adjust the UI properly. For example while in SMS or BBM no need for the header to be on all the time, it should show up once you get in and retract after some designated time. Same for Reply field, no need to be there on keyboard devices. Once you start typing or hit R and start typing it should show up. In other words all this gives you a sort of "reading mode".
