Hey yall I have a Q10. My letter 'D' button is stuck. I have to press it hard in order for it to work. Does anybody with a Q10 or a Classic has this problem for any other letter on their phone?? Anything that I can put on to help it work again? Is it a software issue that its not responding?

In all my years of having the Q10 I've never had a stuck key or a keyboard related issue. Hopefully it's just something that somehow got lodged between the keys and can be blown out.

Second step is to see what BlackBerry Virtual Expert has to say, if you don't have it, it's in BBW run the Keyboard test.

Not sure what it will say if the letter you have issue with fails, but at least it's a next step in sorting your issue.

I had my Q10 keyboard replaced 3 times. If you know a good phone repair shop, they can do it fairly easy. I bought my keyboards from ebay.

Easy to do yourself. Check videos on youtube. I replaced mine a few times. Best keyboard I bought was from globaldirectparts.com

Just call blackberry tech support! Surely they have a 24/7 line for round the clock hardware/software support

They won't be much help. It's a hardware issue and the keyboard will need to be replaced. Keyboards aren't expensive and if you feel you can do it yourself after watching videos, that's what I would recommend. Unless you are still under a hardware warranty.

Had the same problem with my Q5. And I thought it was done for so I bought a Classic to replace it with.

Then I happened to buy a phone repair kit and watched a couple videos on YouTube on how to open up the Q5. Long story short, I simply brushed away some dust that had accumulated around the spacebar and put the phone back together again and it was like brand new.

So for about £10 for a simple repair kit, you might be able to fix it yourself.

It happens all the time to key board phones, I recall having that with my pearls and curves and currently one of my passport C button as well, I gather because it get messed up in my pocket, not really a software issue more a hardware problem, how is your memory on your phone ? I find they work weird when memory is low.
