Has anyone noticed the swipe on the Q10 on 10.2 being slow when the cascades arrange? Is this improved in 10.3?

I have a T-Mobile Q10 on 10.2 and am thinking of getting an unlocked Q10 so I can upgrade to 10.3.

When I do the cascade swipe up on my 10.3 Classic, it seems snappier. Since the Classic and Q10 have the same hardware inside, does the Q10 move faster with the upgrade to 10.3?

I also notice on 10.2 the universal search can sometimes take 2 - 3 seconds to appear. Maybe I'm typing way too fast. But is this also improved in 10.3 as well?

Before anyone mentions upgrading to 10.3 with sachasi, I want to get a new Q10 because I also broke the speaker and it's heavily scratched, cheaper to buy a new one and I prefer buying from BlackBerry.

10.3 uses BlackBerry Assistant for searching, it's twice as slow, even on a device like the z30

I find everything to be quicker!smoother on 10.3.

Another consideration is apparently 10.3.2.2639 fixes double typing. Can't vouch for it as I'm on 2339 and don't have DT on this Q.

10.3.2 is very stable and fast. Smooth as well. You have to give it a few minutes after startup until the hub fully loads, but then the Q10 runs very stable. I would compare it to your experience on the classic. They did a good job optimizing the software.

I used to swap batteries often and charge exclusively in the external charging pack. But this  does better after the battery "settles in". That's my anecdotal experience. So the extra battery pack is there for a long day, but I'll charge via the micro USB when I can.

BlackBerry or any other device manufacturer will have to do serious work enticing me to something different. And even then, I'll hold on to it as a backup. A very compact workhorse, this Q10.

Searching is just as fast but only when recently launched. Ex: you start typing it will load up BlackBerry assistant and takes a few secs. Close it or minimize and do the same thing. Almost instant.

Like I said I love my Q10, my favorite part is that it's smaller than the classic, I'm honestly as productive as the Classic.

With my breaking the device and with T-Mobile not updating I wanted to get another of this great phone before they're harder to find. It's not like buying the bold where there are still millions around.

I also don't think they'll update the Q10, so I want to get one while I can. Hopefully a little price drop will happen after this slider phone comes out.

But I still use all my 3 devices, my daily driver is whatever one I have the Sim card in at the moment.

In 10.2, when I did a universal search straight from the home screen, the search app would often miss the first letter of my search since the app cannot open on time.

With 10.3.2, I do not recall ever having this issue again.

I would say 10.3.2 is superior in most ways. The UI visual changes can be a personal taste, but you will get used to it in no time.

Now, on a touch screen BlackBerry phones, the universal search sucks because you would have to launch the search app, then click on the text box again to get to the search instead of being able to search right away as in 10.2.

Why get a new phone? Just update yourself using an autoloader or Sachesi. It will take about 10 minutes.

OP, If you need wifi calling then you need to stay on 10.2.1.2228 or 10.2.1.3442 on a Q10. T-Mobile has not released any 10.3.2.xxxx version with wifi calling.

I'm aware of that and no I don't need WiFi calling. I haven't use my phones feature on my Q10 in probably almost a year, like I said in my first post, it's broken. I just use it on WiFi to play with at home.

I won't purchase phones from carriers any more. I like getting updates straight from BlackBerry.
