I am using an email address to a personal domain set up on Google Apps.
I logically set up this Google Apps address on the BIS server to get push mail with a filter to exclude emails sent from me (because we all know how horrible is Gmail' IMAP)
Yet I get a delay of 15 good minutes
However if i forward incoming messages to a yahoo! account and replace the Google apps with the Yahoo! account on the BIS server, I get instant push
The weird thing is that the message is going thru a longer distance.
This is especially disturbing as i've come to really enjoy Google Sync for contacts and calendar.
