I'm going to purchase a Blackberry off Amazon which states that it is a new phone. As soon as I receive it I want to run it's ID numbers past Blackberry to confirm, 1. That it isn't stolen. 2. That it is in fact a new phone.

Does anyone know the best way to do this, confirm the phone through Blackberry? Is there a special email or phone number, or department?

No promises they'll help you though from me. Easier to just check yourself through one of the many IMEI checkers. I suggest - https://swappa.com/esn?ref=mobilenat...UvbUpU12674561

I see it says it works for all major US carriers. Is this a valid mechanism for checking Canadian devices? I will still try it when I need it, but was just curious.
