So I was just browsing through my settings, and I noticed my security on my sim was disabled, so not knowing what the **** I was doing, i selected enable and entered an invalid password 3 times, now my phone is frozen. When I do a battery pull it restarts and asks for my PUK code, where do I get this from?
I found my own answer, figured I'd post it here if anyone else is an ***** like me. If you have att, sign into your account.
To obtain your PUK code, log into myWireless Account and follow the steps below:
Select Phone & Device
Select the Unblock SIM Card link
Follow the instructions on the pop-up page
Nice work man, happy to see someone sharing what they've been able to work out. Can't say I've had this issue, but hey, good to know if, or more likely when, I need to.
A friend of mine last year gave me their nokia at&t phone last year because the same thing happened to them and they were not able to find the puk code. Not knowing this information and now that this fone hasn't been used in a year will this fone ever be usable again???
Best thing I can tell you is to call att, as much as they suck on the phone. Just cause I really don't know. I was able to get my puk code, simply cause the phone witch I needed the code for was in use and in the system under my account online. If the phone is still under someone's online account, sign into it at att.com and you can follow the steps I have listed above. Other than that I am sorry to say but att is your only hope then.
