does BlackBerry create such things? Wouldn't that require a different branch of the business?

Well...BlackBerry claims to be a leader in IoT.

They had a BlackBerry gateway in testing which was a different and non phone piece of hardware.

This is almost a physical extension of Dtek into IoT.

they also have strengthened partnership with Google and with Samsung...

So you tell me.. would u purchase a BlackBerry box that helps protect your smart home and smart devices?

I would. If you would too, then we are on to something.

Hue lights, TVs, laptops, Sonos, nest, nestcam, alarms, locks.. these are common place now and yet are they secure?

Sounds like an opportunity to me.

It begs the question...Is there any actual IoT profits coming in or is it just lip service at this point in time?
