No. I checked to see if that was it. Now I do have my phone set to lock when it goes into the holster. When I pull it out it first prompts me to unlock it, but then it goes straight to the camera.
Go to settings> options> password> Lock handheld upon holstering and change the option to yes. The phone will auto key lock when you put it in the holster, and then you wont turn the camera on when you take it out of the holster.
That's what I thought, too. I did that and the phone does lock, but when I unlock it....it automatically goes to the camera. When I take the holster/lock feature off, it just goes straight to the camera.
Yes it is. You wouldn't happen to know how to change or customize the shortcut keys on the home screen would you? I would like to have my video camera as a short cut on the home screen so I can use the flash feature as a "flashlight"...

Sounds like you found it. I have set my convenience button to Video for exactly that reason. When I need a bright light: Convenience key/trackball to record with Automatic fill lighting. Of course, I delete the video when I have found my way back to the light.
