I can send things via bluetooth without any problems but when it comes to receiving stuff it simply doesn't work, be it another mobile or laptop. Do u guys have any idea what's wrong?

The BlackBerry device has to initiate the transfer, whether the transfer is to or from the BlackBerry. If you are trying to send to a BlackBerry from a laptop, start by receiving on the BlackBerry and let it contact the laptop when it is ready to receive.
