I can't install BlackBerry desktop manager 6.1 upgrade onto my laptop. When I try, I get the error message:

"Cannot create C:\Users\Billy\Application Data\Research In Motion" - unzip operation failed.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

(btw my name isn't Billy, I just made that up)

I was going to try this but was concerned that I'd have the same problem reinstalling, leaving me without desktop manager alltogether.

I don't have a registry cleaner installed, I've been advised against it previously. Can you recommend any, preferably an open source version?

Ccleaner just search for it and be sure to save a copy before cleaning. It will ask.

Thanks KellyJ, it worked. Also, thanks to CCleaner my computer seems to be running better now - an added bonus.
