I installed the update on my Z10 a while ago, with no problems.

Tonight I tried to update my Z30. Tried it 3 times. (wasted 3 hours). For the third try, I removed the SIM and SD cards and rebooted the phone first.

Each time I get: Software update encountered an error. A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

A little background first : I was notified on my Z30 that I could download 10.3.1.1784. I chose not to do that. When I connected to BB Link it offered 10.3.2.440. That is what I am trying to install. Apparently It did download.
I don't think I have to install 10.3.1 first as I went directly from 10.2.1 on the Z10.

A bit frustrated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Happened when I updated my Z30 last week... it turned out to be lack of space... during the download n install check your device free space... I had to dump apps and other stuff taking up device space before it would finish... once it's installed the free space will become available again.

I checked my device free space. I have over 8GB available. So I can't imagine that could be the problem.

I wonder if I should install the update the phone is offering, then the new one from Link?

I think I solved the problem.
    With the phone plugged in to power (not the computer), I went to software updates. It offered me 10.3.1... so I hit "update " figuring I would have to install that update first. Instead, it went to "check for updates " and 10.3.2.440 magically appeared!! It has successfully installed and the phone is now restarting. Hopefully all will be good!! :-}

Awesome! Seems like you are good to go. I was going to advise to do another OTA search, install that, then connect to Link if you didn't get 10.3.2 OTA.

On my Z10 it failed twice OTA so just connected to BlackBerry Link as a one time connection and installed the update with no problems from there. Was already on 10.3.1 though.

    I was still on 10.2.1.
Typing this now on my amazing "new " Z30. Or it feels new. Spending way too much time playing with the new settings. :-}.
Installed Flashbrowser too and it works.
    Now I'm a happy camper.
Sure learned a lot this week!!!

Still nothing for my poor little AT&T Q10.

10.3.1 is amazing and was like getting a brand new phone again. I couldn't imagine staying on 10.2.1! With major updates like 10.3.1, I'll sometimes use SACHESI non-destructive to update if I don't receive right away. For 10.3.2, the devices that are still waiting can wait. It's not much of an update in my opinion from 10.3.1. Some fixes and a few new features added, but I'm sure you are really enjoying this coming from 10.2.1. Everything is so much better and faster!

I put 10.3.1 on my Z10 right away (it's my Guinea pig phone). But I couldn't do without Flash, so didn't put it on the Z30. Now that I have Flashbrowser I decided there was no longer any reason not to go to 10.3.2.
